Held roles as stylist, associate art director, and creative director (2021–2023) for Northeastern’s fashion and lifestyle publication. Led creative direction for two 150-page issues, breaking expectations for a university publication. Restructured the team to improve collaboration, redefined creative strategy, and introduced experience design and brand activations with external partners. Developed a cohesive style guide, aligning design, photography, and styling with the magazine’s vision. Managed production to deliver narratives and visuals that truly connected with our audience.

Creative vision was lost in silos, leading to miscommunication and disjointed projects.

the solution

Rebuilt the structure with strategic associate roles to streamline communication between leadership and staff. Took a deep dive into what the audience truly wanted from a fashion publication in a STEM environment — understanding the balance between creativity and intellectual rigor. Introduced regular brainstorming sessions to ensure alignment with the publication's vision. Revamped the style guide for consistency and introduced specialized teams for hair, makeup, video, and digital design to enhance collaboration. Fostered a culture of creative risk-taking, leading a 40+ person team to push boundaries and deliver innovative work.

As creative and art director, led the conceptual and thematic direction for each issue while producing all aspects of three extensive photo spreads (10-20 pages each). Collaborated with styling, design, and photography teams to ensure a unified vision. Focused on emotional storytelling, creating visuals that transcended aesthetics to resonate with the audience. Every design element and image was aligned with the content’s emotional core, transforming the magazine into an immersive, meaningful experience that went beyond visuals.
